Heat shrinkable tubes

According to the different voltages, it is divided into 1kv, 10KV and 35KV. Heat shrinkable sleeve is a kind of insulating sleeve with high temperature shrinkage, soft flame retardant, insulating and anti-corrosion functions. So as to achieve the purpose of insulation, sealing and protection.

Precautions when using heat shrinkable tubes:

1. The heat-shrinkable tube and the heating equipment should not be too close to each other. You must pay attention to the distance between the fire and the heat-shrinkable tube, that is, move 4~5cm evenly. When heating and shrinking, do not exceed the upper limit of the temperature resistance of the heat-shrinkable tube. For the heat-shrinkable tube , the temperature exceeds the upper limit of temperature resistance, which will cause our products to "melt" and return to the initial state.

2. Select a suitable heating tool. When heating and baking, the outer flame of the flame forms an angle of 45 degrees with the surface of the heat shrinkable tube. Be sure to move back and forth to heat the heat shrinkable tube as a whole. Slowly heat from one end to the other end. To be uniform, to avoid air bubbles, to ensure the shape of the heat shrinkable tube after shrinkage, and to be trimmed after cooling.

3. The heat shrinkable tube has different heat shrinkage ratios. The specification of the heat shrinkable tube generally refers to the product of the maximum allowable inner diameter and the shrinkage ratio multiplied by the shrinkage of the sleeve. For example, the shrinkage ratio of the heat-shrinkable tube is 2:1, which means that you can choose a heat-shrinkable tube that is twice the diameter of your own product. For example, the diameter of the quilt cover is 20mm, and we can choose a heat shrinkable tube with a diameter of 40mm at most.

4. For linear objects such as wires, choose a heat shrinkable sleeve with the same size as the outer diameter of the product; for the protection of power stations, electrical cabinets and other busbars, you need to use busbar heat shrinkable sleeves; if there is a requirement for sealing, use waterproof heat shrinkable sleeves. Tube.

How to use heat shrink tubing:

1. To prepare materials, first understand the diameter of the cable, or calculate the corresponding diameter from the length and width, and select a heat shrinkable tube with a diameter slightly larger than the diameter of the cable.

2. Remove the burrs and sharp corners on the cable to prevent cracking caused by piercing the heat shrinkable tube during the retraction process. You must use a quick-drying cleaning agent in advance to clean the oil and impurities of the cable connection part and keep it clean.

3. Calculate the length that needs to be wrapped and intercept the corresponding length of heat shrinkable tube. When cutting the heat sink tube in the correct way, the incision should be neat and smooth, and no burrs or cracks should be produced, so as to avoid the stress concentration generated during heating and shrinkage and spread along the crack.

4. Put the heat-shrinkable tube into one end of the cable, and move the sleeved heat-shrinkable tube to a suitable position. For curved cables, arrange the heat-shrinkable tube at the corner to prevent wrinkles.

5. The heating tool generally uses a hot air gun, an oven or a hair dryer. During the heating process, it should be heated in one direction from left to right or from right to left, or it can be heated from the middle to both ends to avoid air remaining in the heat shrinkable tube. Wrap the cable tightly after shrinking, do not get too close to the surface of the casing or heat it in one place, otherwise it will cause uneven thickness or burn the casing.
