Adhesive heat shrink tube is what we often called double wall tube, one kind of heat shrinkable products.

Adhesive heat shrink tube, the outer layer of the product is made of cross-linked polyolefin with stable chemical properties, and the inner layer is made of hot-melt adhesive compound. The inner wall of the hot-melt adhesive has the advantages of low melting point and good adhesion. It melts when exposed to heat and adheres to the heat shrink tube and the quilt object to enhance the sealing effect. At the same time, the outer layer of polyolefin material has the advantages of good insulation performance, corrosion resistance, and wear resistance. Therefore, adhesive heat shrink tube is used in many applications, including wire and cable repair, water tank, wire branch corrosion protection, etc., which belong to a relatively common category of products.

Adhesive heat shrink tube, compared with single wall heat shrink tube, in addition to the difference of hot melt adhesive, the shrinking ratio is also different. The shrinking ratio of ordinary single wall heat shrink tube is usually 2:1, while the shrinking ratio of adhesive heat shrink tube is 3:1. If the customer has higher requirements, it can reach 4:1, which can meet higher customer requirements. Customers need to combine their actual needs when choosing. It does not mean that the higher the shrinking ratio, the better, nor that the adhesive heat shrink tube is better than the single wall heat shrink tube.

Adhesive heat shrink tube, double layer structure, compared with single wall heat shrink tube, the production process will be relatively more complicated, the production cost will increase, the price of adhesive heat shrink tube will be higher, the same as single wall heat shrink tube, there are many product specifications for adhesive heat shrink tube, ranging from small to large, but there are still differences between these two in terms of product specifications and packaging quantities. For example, single wall heat shrink tube has a diameter of 10mm, is 100 meters/reel, and adhesive heat shrink tube is usually 9.5mm, which is 50 meters/reel.

Single wall heat shrink tube and adhesive heat shrink tube are essentially heat shrinkable products, but there are obvious differences between these two in terms of use and production, and customers can purchase by themselves.
